I was trained in the Metanoia Institute and have a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy. I also hold their Diploma of Clinical Practice and I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist.
I also have a Masters Degree in Change Agents Skills and Strategies. This was awarded by Surrey University’s ‘Human Potential Research Group’ and was one of the first degrees in the UK to take a Humanistic view of change on an individual, group and organisational basis.
I am Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Minster Centre, which is a London based College of Psychotherapy as well as being the organising centre for several therapy centres.
I am also an Honorary Psychotherapist in the South Westminster CMHT, which is based at the Soho Centre and the Gordon Hospital.
My training meant working in various psychotherapy agencies and before I set up in private practice. I learned my craft with CAES, an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Clinic in North Wales, and three years with MIND, first in Wrexham and then in Westminster. In all these clinics I gained a deep understanding of the results of trauma and working with post-traumatic stress disorders.
My work in the field of ‘change’ goes back to 1977 when I became a group trainer with ‘Exegesis’. Today I prefer to work on a one to one basis.
